Update: just finished this skirt. Because I'm a tight crocheter, I went up a hook size. I have the diagram for this stitch in a very old crochet book and always wanted to make something with it. Thank you so much for the tutorial! ❤ The skirt is beautiful, easy and pretty quick to make.

I made mine doing the hood first then joining at the front and working down for 20 rows all in 1/2 dc and it fits and looks amazing

I'm confused. Even though I do the correct amount of stitches i'm stuck with 9 stitches at the end of the first row. Sould i add 4 instead of 3 or just leave it like is woth one less stitch at the end?

Im not sure if someone else has ask this. But when starting the second row and saying follow the front and back stitches.when you come up to the point where you increase on the first row. Do you make one stitch front and the other one back. Or do you make them both the same stitche?

To anyone trying to follow this pattern with a different number of chains and failing, I switched to multiples of 13 and it worked out.

Please check your tutorial...there is some confusion on my side as in you said it was 60 inches wide n 48.5 inches in length...could you have meant it the other way in measurements or is it me who is wrong ? Cuz it just doesnt look 5 feet across. If so I apologize !

Anyone here think they could help me out I have low vision and cannot tell with the first round after the first chain two you start with a DC but I’ve tried to zoom in and slow it down but can’t tell which part of the stitch she is putting the DC thru..would really help me out! Thx!
